Despite our best efforts to stop the evil at the museum, it managed to get out! Evil creatures flooded arkham and the streets of our ruined city were filled with pulsating vortices of alien energy.
The "arkham gates" expansion introduces terrifying new Ancient Ones, monsters, and Mythos cards that will challenge even the most seasoned investigators. If they want to survive with friends, they must acquire new Allies, Spells and items, and learn new skills. They will also receive a set of new adventures related to the streets and locations of arkham. As the gates to the Other Worlds open in these new areas, the investigators will be forced to take the necessary steps and venture through the foul portals to seal them before the horror engulfs all of arkham.
