Once upon a time in the Japanese imperial court…

After a long series of disputes, diplomatic relations between Japan and China have finally improved. To properly celebrate this agreement, the Chinese emperor presented the Japanese ruler with a sacred animal, a large panda bear, a symbol of peace.

The Japanese emperor entrusted the players from his court with the difficult task of taking care of the animal and preparing a bamboo garden for it. Players will cultivate farmland, irrigate it and grow one of the three types of bamboo green, yellow and pink with the help of an imperial gardener. The weather will also play a role, from sunny days to monsoon seasons.

They will also have to endure the panda's ravenous appetite for juicy bamboo shoots…

The player who manages to score the most pointsóby properly growing the bamboo and feeding the panda will win the game.

takenoko is an original game with relatively simple rules that can be played in any group. The themes raised in the game and the first-class workmanship of the elements make communing with this position extremely pleasant and eye-friendly. The game can be played with children as young as 8 years old, but we know from experience that with the help of parents, 6-year-olds can also play it well.
