cube DIY (Do It Yourself) is designed for a wide range of speedcubers. Compared to the finished 3x3x3 PRO cube, it differs in the screws that fasten the middle blocks to the cross and the caps (end caps) that have "legs". Thanks to this, the caps can be removed many times in order to make adjustments, without fear that they will be destroyed. Just push the caps in - you don't need to use glue to put them on.
Use only silicone-based preparations to lubricate the cube. The cube must not be lubricated with vegetable or automotive lubricants or creams (they contain solid particles). In particular, we warn against using the Nivea cream popular in the 1980s, the use of which very quickly leads to the destruction of the cube.
There are many methods for preparing the cube. Each class speedcuber has its own patent. Those who intend to assemble the cube for the first time, we encourage you to use the help of older speedcuber colleagues or try the following, proven method:
After the first assembly, it is good to tighten the cube so that it moves a bit too hard (you should show some intuition here so as not to "overtighten" the thread). Then, perform several dozen to several hundred poses in order to "reach" the ankle dry. Only after the inner walls are evenly rubbed, the paving stone should be laid out again and each wall should be individually lubricated with silicone grease. Only the side walls of individual blocks should be lubricated. Never lubricate the screws and the cross! Then we twist the cube by selecting the strength of the wall rotation according to individual preferences. We wish you success and perseverance in breaking records!
