The Chicken Coop - The Goal of the Game

The player's task is to collect as many eggs as possible by revealing the hens that are hatching eggs in the appropriate colors. The challenge is that hens look the same and change nests often.

Coop - Game Elements

• 6 hens (double-sided tiles: hen and egg) - each hen hatches an egg of a different color
• 7 chicken nests
• 18 egg tokens (3 each in 6 colors)

Coop - Game setup

A. Place all the nests in the center of the table (this will be the chicken coop).

B. Lay out the 6 hens on the table (hen face up) and mix thoroughly. Place each hen in a different nest, leaving one nest free. Don't look at the colors of the eggs.

C. Place all egg tokens (question mark up) next to the henhouse.

The hen house - Game flow

1. The player who last saw the hen (or the youngest player) starts the game and then the game proceeds clockwise.

2. On his turn, a player performs the following actions:

   a) Takes 1 egg token, flips it over and places it on the table (all players see the color of the egg).

   b) He tries to identify a hen with an egg of the same color as on the revealed tile:

• picks up the selected hen, turns it over and checks the color of the hatched egg ( must be seen by all players),
• moves this hen to the nest that was previously empty.

   c) If the color of the hatched egg is the same as on the flipped tile, the player wins the egg tile and repeats the actions (turns over another tile, checks the color of the next hen's egg).

   d) If the color of the hatched egg is different, the player ends his turn and the turn goes to the next player. The eggs collected so far remain with the player and the egg token remains faceup.

Coop - Rules for moving hens

Each hen taken from the nest must be moved to another place. Try to memorize the colors of the hatched eggs.

Coop - Game Over

Game ends when all egg tokens have been claimed by the players. The winner is the player who has scored the most. In case of a tie, the players share the victory.

The Chicken Coop - Gameplay Example

A) The player turns over the egg token. He hit on a red egg.

B) The player tries to find a hen that hatches a red egg. He picks up one of the hens and flips it over - the hen hatches a red egg!

C) The player takes the egg token face up. He takes it and puts it in front of him.

D) The player puts the hen back in the henhouse - he puts it in the nest (the hen face up), which was empty until now.
